1. Who we are and what this policy covers
This Privacy Policy explains how jinzhijiang, an independent developer ("we," "us," or "our"), handles information in connection with the Boingle mobile application (the "App") and the official website at boingle.jinzhijiang.org (the "Website").
This policy does not control the independent privacy practices of app stores, device manufacturers, operating-system providers, or websites that we do not operate.
2. Data used by the App
Information stored locally
Boingle stores the following information locally on your device so the game can remember your progress and preferences:
- campaign scores, earned stars, and unlocked levels;
- endless-mode best scores and distances;
- collected-ring totals;
- music, sound-effect, vibration, and volume preferences; and
- your selected language preference.
The App does not transmit these values to jinzhijiang or store them in an account or remote database.
Analytics and crash reporting
To keep Boingle stable and improve it, the App uses two Google Firebase services: Google Analytics for Firebase (basic usage statistics, such as which screens and levels are played) and Firebase Crashlytics (crash reports). These services automatically collect limited device and usage information — for example the device model, operating-system and App versions, app-instance identifiers, coarse usage events, and crash stack traces. We see this information only in aggregated or pseudonymous form, and we do not use it to identify you. Because the App's AdMob accounts are linked to Firebase, ad-performance data such as estimated ad revenue also appears in these reports. Firebase is provided by Google LLC and processes this information as described in Firebase Privacy and Security.
Advertising
Both the Android and iOS versions show ads. What differs is the identifier they may use. On Android, ads may use the Google Advertising ID. On iOS, the App asks first, through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt, and uses the Advertising Identifier (IDFA) only if you allow it — if you decline, ads still appear, but they are not personalised using that identifier.
Boingle is free and is supported by advertising. The App uses the Google AdMob SDK to show two kinds of ads: rewarded videos, which you choose to watch in exchange for continuing a run, and occasional full-screen ads shown when you close a results screen. There are no ads during play.
To request and measure ads, AdMob uses information such as your device type, coarse location inferred from your IP address, and your interactions with the ads themselves. It may also use your device's advertising ID — the Google Advertising ID on Android, and the Advertising Identifier (IDFA) on iOS, the latter only where you have allowed tracking. On iOS, Apple's SKAdNetwork is additionally used to measure whether an ad led to an install; it reports in aggregate and does not identify you or your device. This information is processed by Google LLC as an independent controller under the How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services notice and Google's Privacy Policy. We receive only aggregated performance and revenue reports.
Your ad choices. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, the App asks for your consent before requesting personalised ads, using Google's User Messaging Platform. You can change or withdraw that consent at any time from Settings → Ad privacy inside the App. If you decline, the App still works and you may see non-personalised ads or none at all. Separately, on iOS the App asks once through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt before it may use the IDFA; that answer can be changed at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. On any device you can also reset or delete your advertising ID in your operating-system settings, which limits ad personalisation.
Boingle is not directed to children under 13, and we do not request child-directed ad treatment. See Section 8.
Information the App does not collect
Beyond the diagnostics and advertising data described above, the App does not collect personal data through its gameplay or settings. In particular, it does not collect names, email addresses, account credentials, contacts, precise location, photos, camera or microphone content, or payment information.
Boingle does not include account or in-app purchase SDKs. Apart from network access and the advertising identifier used by AdMob, it does not request privacy-sensitive device permissions. On iOS that identifier is requested only through the App Tracking Transparency prompt; declining is a supported outcome, and the game plays exactly the same either way.
3. Information you choose to send us
If you contact us by email, we receive the information you choose to provide, such as your email address, message, and any attachments. We use it only to respond, provide support, protect the App or Website, or comply with applicable obligations. Email communications may be processed by the service providers that deliver our email.
Contacting us is optional and is not required to use Boingle. Do not include sensitive personal information that is not necessary for your request.
4. Sharing and third-party services
We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with advertisers ourselves. Gameplay progress and settings are never sent to us, so we cannot share them. The analytics and crash information described in Section 2 is processed on our behalf by Google Firebase. The advertising data described in Section 2 is processed by Google AdMob, which uses it to select and measure ads; that processing is governed by Google's own policies rather than ours.
Apple and Google may independently process information when they distribute the App, process a download, or provide operating-system and store services. Their handling is governed by their own policies:
- Apple Privacy Policy
- Google Privacy Policy
- Firebase Privacy and Security
- How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services
We may disclose information you voluntarily send us when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights or safety, investigate abuse, or use service providers that support the communication. We do not permit those providers to use the information for their own advertising.
5. Website data and Cloudflare
The Website does not set app-owned cookies, write preferences to local storage, include advertising, or run app-owned analytics.
The Website is hosted and protected through Cloudflare. Cloudflare may process ordinary network and security information, such as IP addresses, request headers, timestamps, and security logs, to deliver and protect the Website. Cloudflare handles that information under its own Privacy Policy.
6. Retention and deletion
- App data: Local progress and settings remain until you use the in-app reset option, clear the App's storage through your device, or uninstall the App.
- Analytics and crash data: Firebase analytics and crash information is retained by Google for the limited periods configured in Firebase's data-retention settings and is then deleted or aggregated.
- Advertising data: Information used to serve and measure ads is retained by Google under its own policies. Resetting your advertising ID on Android, or turning off tracking for Boingle on iOS, breaks the link to earlier ad activity.
- Emails: We retain voluntary correspondence only as long as reasonably needed to respond, maintain appropriate records, protect our services, or meet applicable obligations.
- Provider records: Cloudflare and app-store providers determine retention for information they process independently under their own policies.
Because we do not maintain Boingle accounts or remote gameplay records, there is no server-side App profile or gameplay history for us to delete.
7. Security
Boingle reduces privacy risk by keeping game progress and preferences on your device and by avoiding accounts and unnecessary permissions. Local data is subject to the protections and settings of your device and operating system.
No storage or transmission method is completely secure. We use reasonable measures appropriate to the limited information under our control, but we cannot guarantee absolute security or control the security practices of independent providers.
8. Children's privacy
Boingle is a general-audience game and is not specifically directed to children under 13. On Google Play it is distributed with a 13+ target-audience declaration and its ads are not treated as child-directed. On the App Store its content rating is 4+, which describes the content rather than the intended audience; Boingle is not listed in the Kids category. The App does not knowingly collect personal data such as names or contact details from any user, including children; the diagnostics described in Section 2 are collected in aggregated or pseudonymous form.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has sent personal information to us through an email inquiry, contact us. We will review the request and take reasonable steps to delete information under our control when appropriate.
9. International processing
The App's local gameplay data is not transferred to jinzhijiang. Google (for Firebase analytics and crash reporting and for AdMob advertising), website, email, and app-store providers may process information in countries where they or their service providers operate. Those locations may have privacy laws different from those in your country.
10. Your choices and privacy rights
You control the App's local data through the in-app reset option and your device's clear-data and uninstall controls. Crash and usage reporting is built into the App and stops when you uninstall it. You control personalised advertising through Settings → Ad privacy in the App where that control is offered. On Android you can also reset or delete your advertising ID in your device's system settings. On iOS you can change your answer to the tracking prompt at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding personal information under our control, such as requesting access, correction, or deletion. Email dev@jzj.red to make a request. We may need enough information to understand and verify the request, and applicable law may provide exceptions.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when Boingle, the Website, or applicable requirements change. The updated policy will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Material changes will be explained in a reasonably prominent manner when appropriate.
